The follow up to the First entry

         The first entry into my Dallas Cowboys 2014 offseason Checklist was for the Cowboys to address the safety position. I really felt like it is time for the Cowboys to invest a first round pick into that position. I also completely understand the Cowboys going with some of the young guys that they already have on the roster. I keep hearing a lot of fans talk about Matt Johnson making a difference at safety. Let’s all keep in mind that he has been injured every year he has been in the league. The Cowboys already have guy by the name of Sean Lee that can’t stay healthy. I’m not in a hurry to put this guy Johnson in the lineup until he proves he can stay healthy.             The first entry to this series was written before the draft and was posted late. Offseason Checklist (Safety)

Like many of you I am a confused Dallas Cowboys fan! I think confused is a very good word because I still don’t see how this team continues to draw high expectations from its fan. The last three years this team has finished with an 8-8 record. Each of those three years this team had the chance to make the playoffs with a play in season finale. Each of those three years this team has lost that play in season finale game. I guess the confusions comes from not knowing what to expect from a team that looks to be better than 8-8 at times. How can one say that this team is anything but a mediocre 8-8 team? I’m not about to get in to the ups and downs of the 2013 season. I have gone over that in countless post and blogs since the season ended. I don’t want to get into who the Cowboys should draft, because we have a few weeks until the combine. I will do a team needs blog down the line, but right now I want to create an offseason checklist for the Cowboys. This will be my checklist for things ...
